Having a work space that feels warm, inviting and inspiring seems like the perfect mix. For myself and I’m sure for most of us, our work space really has to feel like an extension of ourselves. I love a work space that really exudes positive energy – the look, the feel and the smell are all things I pay attention to. My home office has become a room where I can sit down to hammer out work or a space where I can spend countless hours flipping through visual inspiration. When I started on the decor for this room I knew one thing for sure – it had do be filled with visually pleasing, uplifting and inspiring images. It makes me feel so good being surround by beautiful artwork, inspiring magazines and fresh flowers. I’ve filled my desk with those things that both are aesthetically pleasing and those things that remind me to stay true to the things that make me “me”.
Last month with the help of Desenio (who I stalk on Instagram regularly), I was able to build out a gallery wall I had been dreaming of for a long time now. And guess what? It came out better than I had envisioned. Every time I walk into my office my eyes instantly light up and my heart fills with happiness. Desenio offers a huge range of on-trend posters that range anywhere from captivating nature scenes to botanical prints, fashion prints and inspiration quotes. They exclusively sell online and have free shipping on orders over $45. I love how affordable they are and how they really help to make a space your own. I loved the process of picking out those prints that really resonated with me. Emilio helped me put all the prints into frames. We measured out the wall and created that same empty space on the floor and started laying each photo out, swapping one for another until we were completely happy with how the photos flowed and how cohesive the visuals were. Did you guys catch this on Instagram Stories last week? We spent our rainy Saturday working on this!
I ordered 12 prints from Desenio – 4 of which I used for our living room. I wanted to fill the living room with greenery and life so I picked Dark Green Palm Leaves No1 and No2, Green Banana Leaves and the Banana Leaves Close Up. For my office gallery wall I wanted the mood to be serene, inspirational with some added punches that make it mine. I went for prints like Dusty Rose, Love Note, XO Black, Pink Clouds, Your Mind, Wave and There’s Beauty. These helped shape the aesthetic I was after for this room and really help elevate the energy in this room.
I’m not quite done with the decor for this room and loved the process so much with Desenio that I’m going to be ordering more. I want to order 5 or 6 more to have on the office window sill and maybe a few more around the house. They just really round out a home and bringing life to a space. I’m love them! If you’re thinking of decorating your space or just want a few prints to draw inspiration to your everyday, I highly recommend Desenio. The process was easy from start to finish, the quality – great and the prints beautiful.
(Excludes frames and handpicked/collaboration posters).
I hope you all enjoyed this post. I’ll have more interior posts up as I’ll continuously be adding to my print collection!
